Music and Movement for Children (Birth - Age 6)
The Singing Tree is a joyful, fun-filled music and movement program for the preschool child and parent. This program is based on family interaction and participation and has been offered in the Waukesha area for over 18 years. The Singing Tree uses a research-based curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for the learning styles of young children. Classroom music and movement activities encourage your child's vocal, rhythmic and tonal development, growth in language skills, auditory discrimination and memory skills, small and large motor skill development, and more!
Family Classes have been added for those families who would otherwise need child care in order to participate. See the Brochure below for details!
Classes are available in Waukesha for children from Birth through age 6 years old. Each semester encompasses 13 weekly classes and ends with a family musical celebration.
Our Fall classes begin in September and Spring classes in January. Watch this site each spring for summer program information.

The Children's Choir of Waukesha and The Singing Tree program provide a musical/choir experience for children from newborns through 12th grade. Registration information is available in the Documents section (above right) or by calling 262-613-8535 (Please leave a message with your name, address and telephone number to receive a current brochure.).
The Training Choir
- Meets Tuesdays from 4:30-5:15 p.m. - Cost: $125 per semester - Grades 1-2 No previous musical training is required.
The Intermediate Choir
- Meets Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. - Cost: $135 per semester - Grades 3-5 No previous musical training is required.
The Advanced Choir
- Meets Mondays from 5-6:30 p.m. - Cost: $160 per semester - Grades 6-8 No previous musical training is required but students should display a genuine interest in singing and be able to match pitch and sing in tune.
The Chamber Choir
- Meets Mondays from 7-8 p.m. - Cost: $135 per semester - Grades 6-8 Students must be members of the Advanced Choir. This is an audition group. To schedule an audition, please contact the CCW Office at 262-202-4276.
CCW ChoralWorks High School - Women's Choir
- Meets Thursdays from 7:15-8:45 p.m. - Cost: $160 per semester - Grades 9-12 - This is an audition group. New students must call Diane Skrobis at 414-202-4276 to schedule an audition. Graduates of the CCW program do not need to schedule an audition.

The Children's Choir of Waukesha has touched the lives of grade school and high school students in the area for over 30 years. It is a choral program that spans grades 1 -12 in five different choirs. Students experience the magic of making music with their voices in an enjoyable yet disciplined musical setting. Activities include part-singing, sight singing, and ear training, along with refining vocal production, improving intonation, and increasing music reading and writing skills. A variety of musical styles are performed. Opportunities to audition for honor choirs are offered.
The Singing Tree is a joyful, fun-filled program with a 30+ year history of introducing preschool children with their parents to the pleasures of music and movement. Using a research-based curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for the learning styles of young children, classroom music and movement activities encourage vocal development, rhythmic and tonal development, growth in language skills, improved auditory discrimination and memory skills, small and large motor skill development, and the ability to socialize with other children and adults in the class. The program is based on family interaction and participation. It is the intent of the program that the musical activities presented in class will become part of the family experiences at home. There are classes for preschool through kindergarten-age children.
